TRADE MARK (TM)



Trade Mark (TM) is defined as a Premier body of the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO) working for the registration of trade and services marks under the Trademarks Ordinance, 2001, as a "mark" capable of being represented graphically and which is capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one person from those of others and may include a shape of goods, their packaging, and combination of colors.


 

Simply put, a trademark may include a device, brand, heading, label, ticket, name, signature, word, letter, numeral, shape of goods, packaging, or combination of colors or combinations. The only qualification for a trademark is its capacity to distinguish one person's goods or services from another. Trademarks can be among the most valuable assets of a business.

 


BRAND



A brand is a name given to a product and/or service such that it takes on an identity by itself. A brand name can create and stand for loyalty, trust, faith, premium-ness or mass-market appeal.



A brand differentiates a product from similar other products and enables it to charge a higher premium, in return for a clear identity and greater faith in its function. A brand is akin to a living being it has an identity and personality, name, culture, vision, emotion, and intelligence.



 LOGO



Logos are an essential part of any branding or marketing strategy. They act as the face of your company. A Logo is a drawing or image that companies, political parties, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, sports teams, charities, religious institutions, social clubs, and people use to mark their identity.



A logo may consist of images or drawings of things, people, and abstract concepts. It may also include words or letters. When it consists entirely of words or one word, we call it a logotype or wordmark.



LABELS




In the marketplace, amidst a sea of products vying for consumer attention, labeling stands as a beacon of clarity. it's more than just a tag or a sticker; it's the product's ambassador, bridging the gap between brand intent and consumer understanding.



Labeling, deeply interwined with branding, plays a pivotal role in conveying essential product information, from its origin to its usage. offering insights, into what the product is, what it contains, and why it might be the perfect fit for the consumer. Labels are the first point of contact with consumers, often influencing purchasing decisions right at the point of sale.




PATENT




A Patent is an exclusive right that allows the inventor a exclude others from making, using, or selling the product of his invention during the life of the patent. Patent owners may also give permission to, or license, other parties to use their inventions on mutually agreed terms. Owners may also sell their invention rights to someone else, who then becomes the new owner of the patent.




DESIGN



The appearance of a product is vital to its success and by protecting it you gain exclusive rights to that look. Just like a trademark, your registered designs can become valuable business assets. The design could be a two-dimensional image such as a logo, pattern, or icon. Or it can be a three-dimensional physical object. To be eligible for registration the design must be new and have "Individual Character". A registered design right protects the look of a design.




COPYRIGHT




Copyright refers to te legal right of the owner of intellectual property. In simpler terms, This means that the original creators of products and anyone they give authorization to are the only ones with the exclusive right to reproduce the work.
